The energy vertical spans gas-turbine hot sections (combustor liners, first- and second-stage blades and vanes, transition ducts), industrial heat exchangers for chemical, petrochemical, and refining service, nuclear reactor components including control rod cladding and specialty piping, and concentrated solar power receivers and molten-salt loop hardware.
Feedstock is qualified against operating conditions: creep-rupture at 800–1050 °C, oxidation resistance in reducing and oxidizing atmospheres, thermal-cycling fatigue, and — for nuclear service — neutron cross-section and radiation embrittlement tolerance.
Inconel 625 — solid-solution strengthened, excellent corrosion in reducing atmospheres. Standard for offshore risers, hydrogen-service piping, and marine exhaust.
Inconel 718 — precipitation-hardened, workhorse for turbine disks and industrial gas-turbine bolting. Excellent to ~650 °C.
Hastelloy X — combustor liner alloy. Oxidation resistant to 1200 °C.
Haynes 282 — gamma-prime strengthened for advanced ultra-supercritical (A-USC) steam plants and next-gen turbine hot section.
Molybdenum & TZM — vacuum-furnace hot zones, semiconductor process hardware, glass-melting electrodes.
Tantalum — chemical reactor lining where corrosion is absolute.
Cobalt-chrome (Stellite family) — wear surfaces on steam-turbine bucket cover shrouds, valve trim.
Beyond standard chemistry and PSD, energy-vertical feedstock is available with stress-rupture bar heats (300 hr / 800 °C / 550 MPa on Ni-superalloys), elevated-temperature tensile, and oxidation coupon service. Nuclear-service material is sourced under DFARS-compliant supply chains with full pedigree traceability.
