Sourcing
U.S. and allied foundries

Shot-peening is a controlled compressive-stress process — every aerospace critical fatigue part (landing gear, engine mounts, wing spars, main-rotor components) is peened to spec with metallic shot under Almen-strip verification per AMS 2430 and MIL-S-13165C. Foundry cleaning, weld-scale removal, and paint stripping use steel grit under SAE J1993.

Cast steel shot production is concentrated in the U.S. (Ervin Industries, Winoa/Wheelabrator), India, and China. We source cast S- and G-series exclusively from U.S. and allied foundries for DFARS-compliant aerospace peening and defense-industrial-base cleaning applications. Stainless shot (SS-70 through SS-460) is available for aluminum-airframe peening where ferrous contamination is not permitted.
